350th anniversary of Cromwell's deathOliver Cromwell died on 3rd September 1658 . For further details of the death and funeral of Cromwell click here. On the 350th anniversary of the funeral of Cromwell,
which took place at Westminster Abbey on 23rd November 1658, a small
service of commemoration was held at the same place on Sunday 23rd
November 2008. During the short service, conducted by the Rev Canon Robert Reiss, Mr Geoffrey Bush, a member of the Association and a descendant of Cromwell, laid a wreath on the plaque that commemorates Cromwell’s burial from 1658-1661.
