Meet the Cromwell Museum Trustees

Meet the Shadow Board of the Cromwell Museum Trust. Our application for charitable status has just been submitted to the Charities Commission and we plan to run the museum from 1 April 2016.

Peter Johnson, Chairman

Peter is a third generation art dealer and he and his father before him have been involved with the museum for over 50 years. Below Peter receives Five Star accreditation for our new volunteer programme.

Erika Clegg

Erika is co-founder and executive creative director at Spring, a UK communications design company specialising in brand consultancy, digital marketing and multi-channel communications programmes. She has extensive experience in building compelling brands and campaigns for visitor attractions. Erika is Board Director of the Design Business Association and a trustee of the Norwich Theatre Royal.

Jonathan Djanogly

Jonathan is the local MP and a solicitor. He has a keen interest in Cromwell and Civil War history and is a long time supported of the museum. Jonathan also has 25 years of experience advising and participating on charity and company Boards and good connections with other national museums and galleries. Jonathan (far right) is pictured below outside the museum.

Camilla Nichol

Camilla is Chief Executive of the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust. Before taking up this role she was this Head of Collections at Leeds Museums and Galleries, the largest local authority-run museum service in England. Camilla is also a member of the Museums Accreditation Committee of Arts Council England, a trustee of the Burton Constable Foundation and a Board member of the Leeds University Centre for Critical Studies in Museums, Galleries and Heritage. Camilla (far left) is pictured below with Peter and Erika at the opening Board meeting.

Allen Packwood

Allen, a qualified archivist, is a Fellow of Churchill College, Cambridge. He is Director of the Churchill Archives Centre, home to the papers of Sir Winston Churchill, Baroness Thatcher and almost six hundred of their contemporaries: politicians, diplomats, civil servants, military leaders and scientists of the Churchill era and beyond. Allen has also organised many events and lectures and is the author of several articles and publications and has lectured extensively on Churchill in the United Kingdom and the United States. He is pictured below lecturing in Canada.
