Reformation Monument, Geneva

The City of Geneva in Switzerland regards itself as the vanguard of the Reformation of the Church in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Although not the birthplace of the great Protestant reformer and theologian John Calvin, it is the site of a most impressive memorial erected to commemorate the 400th anniversary of his birth in 1509.
It takes the form of a wall of reliefs and statues depicting individuals and events of significance to the Protestant movement.
