Bradford City Hall

A further twenty years were to pass before a more ambitious building was designed which incorporated Cromwell in a series of historical statues. Bradford's new City Hall reflected municipal pride and confidence and was designed by the local firm of Lockwood & Mawson, also responsible for the Bradford Wool Exchange.

Bradford's City Hall of 1873 is an expression of municipal confidence and pride, with a series of 35 statues at third floor level, all of more than life size, of English sovereigns.
